In which your humble narrator transcribes a recent conversation between Child #1 and Wife-a-roo.

Scene: At home, the office, the last day of 2010...

Wife-a-roo: Child #1, this is the last day of the year.
Child #1: (barely glances up) Yes.
Wife-a-roo: Tomorrow will be a new year.
Child #1: Why did you say that to me?
Wife-a-roo: Uhh... huhhh... what?
Child #1: (Insistently) Why did you say that to me?
Wife-a-roo: (Incredulously) Uhh... I though you would be interested.
Child #1: I wasn't.
